Why is the Environment Important? 

Many people rarely interact with the environment possibly during vacations to the mountains or the coast.  But our environment is linked to our everyday quality of life - consider your drinking water, the air you breath and the soil your food is produced from.  Should streams run bright orange after a rain storm?  Should our downtown have empty lots while our farmland is consumed for development?  Should sewage run freely into our streams?  Should traffic influence our lives and the quality of our air?  Lets face it the quality of our environment equals the quality of our cities.  Explore this site to see why this is such an improtant issue for all of us.
